2007 Neighbourhood Policing

Would you like to get more involved in your local community?

This new government initiative could be just what you are looking for!

The idea is for local people to get together to decide what needs to be done in their area to make it a safer place. All the public bodies serving that area then work together to respond.

Neighbourhood policing is a real opportunity for local people to take responsibility for their own community, rather than just ‘leaving it to the experts’. It will also encourage all the agencies and organisations, who work in an area, to do so in a joined- up way!

I have spoken recently to PC Beck Lennane and PC Darren Foulger, who head up the local Neighbourhood Policing Teams in my area. If you would like to know more about Neighbourhood Policing, please e-mail beck.lennane@wiltshire.pnn.police.uk or darren.foulger@wiltshire.pnn.police.uk or phone 08454-087000.
