Bourne Valley LINK SCHEME

The Bourne Valley Link Scheme:

  • Consists of a team of local volunteers, from all the villages in the Bourne Valley, who offer help with transport and care for people in need. The BV Link Scheme is organised by a committee of local people who manage the running of the scheme.
  • The Service is available for Anyone in the Bourne Valley area who needs transport for an appointment or shopping, help at home, or just a friendly chat.
  • There are even people who can. . . FEED your Dog or other pets.

    Bookings taken Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm. (Answerphone in use during evenings and weekends)

St Edward's Wildlife Refuge, Gater's Lane

St. Edward's Wildlife Refuge in Winterbourne Dauntsey, is a peaceful haven where flora and fauna are encouraged to flourish in a managed environment, without it becoming an overgrown wilderness.
Visitors to the site can do so in the knowledge that the restored tombs and veteran yew tree (650 years old) provide a safe environment for quiet contemplation and enjoyment of the peaceful ambience of the churchyard. St Edward's is situated in Gater's Lane, Winterbourne Dauntsey, Salisbury.

The project to create the Wildlife Refuge was one of 3 projects undertaken in the Winterbournes to celebrate the Millennium. For full details of the project, please go to the dedicated website:
