March 2010 Flooding in Stratford Road

Stratford Road – new drains to prevent flooding
Last year the gymn at South Wilts was flooded due, at least partly, to poor drainage on Stratford Road, at great cost and inconvenience to the school.

I am determined that this not happen again and have been in constant discussion with local traffic engineers to see what they can do. As a result, we now have bigger and better drains outside the school.

I am not complacent, however, and am still exploring further measures to protect the school.
