Transfer of property to Salisbury City Council
Negotiations are underway for the transfer of property from Wiltshire Council (WC) to Salisbury City Council (SCC).

I can confirm that rumours that a slice of land would be taken off Hudson’s Field and Victoria Park to widen the A345 are completely unfounded.

I have always made clear that this option was totally unacceptable and your newly elected City Councillors have supported me in doing all they can to ensure that our green spaces are safe.

More room for schools
Current proposals are to transfer to SCC the field next to Exeter House School with a covenant to enable much- needed expansion by the school.

The Warwick Close allotments, next to South Wilts Grammar School, are also to be transferred with a covenant to enable expansion of the school playing fields, should this be necessary.

These proposals will go to the WC Cabinet on 22 September and then to SCC Full Council.
