The Junior School Bench

This is an example of the Community Co-operation which can be achieved through FOHS. The Junior School ran a competition to design a bench to call their own. The Parks Section helped with materials. The Salisbury Community Wildlife Officer guided them in the construction. (Well, he did quite a lot of the construction if truth be told!). The pupils painted the end product. The Friends of Harnham Slope helped throughout and were instrumental in the final installation. Everybody got something out of the exercise, and there is now a lasting testimony to the ingenuity of the next generation, and a nice seat to rest weary bones upon as people pass through this pleasant area. The bench is located at the top of the Slope, along the main footpath.

Just in case anybody forgets!
