HOW BIRDS USED THEIR NEST BOXES DURING 2014

Throughout the 2014 breeding season Mr John Vickerman, with a little help from some of the supporters of the Friends of Harnham Slope, made regular visits to the bird nest boxes installed on Harnham Slope in Salisbury.

His overview report and the detailed findings in respect of each individual box give a fascinating insight of what use was made of each box by Blue Tits and Great Tits during the 2014 breeding season.

His report is in 2 parts. The 1st is an overview of the problems faced by small birds during the 2014 breeding season, whereas the 2nd part is a detailed record of the use birds made of each individual box.
