New Nets
As you will see, work at the new Ground has progressed during the Winter. The pavilion is now up to roof level, window frames are in and the roof trusses and tiles should be on by the start of the season in May.
The three bay nets are in situ, but a little work is still required to firm up the base. Hopefully, the nets will be in use before the start of the season.
The wicket is looking good with good grass growth and no sign of the cracks that caused concern by the end of last season. The artificial wicket has be relayed with the trench filled in (how are we going to get any wickets now?). It has been well rolled and looks flat.
Finally, I huge 'thank you' to Shaftesbury Town Council. The Council's commitment to the Club has enabled this superb facility to become a reality.
