The Parish Council has been considering the value of Quality Parish Status. Their precept is under £10,000. They are aware that this might be achieved in partnership with other small councils but how can it be achieved in a rural situation with each council having its own priorities and voluntary Councillors? Also, would each Council in the partnership be required to have an accredited Parish Clerk, for instance, and are Salisbury District Council and Wiltshire County Council ready to devolve certain services to such parish partnerships once the council has all the criteria in place?
