Child Contact Centre

Who is this group for?
this group is for children so that they can have contact with non residential relatives, people are usually referred via solicitors, the court, social workers or mediation groups

What does the group aim to achieve?
The group aims to provide a safe neutral environment for children in which there non residential relatives can visit them

How often does this group occur?
This group happens twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Saturday between 2 and 4.

What happens in this group?
This group gives children a chance to get to know their absent parent. This will hopefully progress into all parties having confidence to meet outside the centre

Is a specific programme followed?
Having achieved the National Association of Child Contacts Centre's Accreditation, the centre has run according to their standard practices

Who runs this group?
There are 8 volunteers and the Co-ordinator. All of these people are trained in accordance with policies and standards of the national Association of Child Contact Centres
