The coalition government has abolished the Regional Spatial Strategy, which had required Salisbury to build a certain number of houses. So the Council has looked again at what we actually need and want, and the revised South Wilts Core Strategy went to Full Council on 22nd February.
- The number of houses to be built in Salisbury has been reduced from the original plan by about 2,500.
- Harnham no longer faces new development on the Netherhampton site.
- Hampton Park II is to go ahead as planned.
