Service for the Animals: Dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ladybirds, a slow worm and a tadpole took their places in the church when everyone was welcomed by Rev Elizabeth Moore-Bick who took the service. The readings were given by Judith Mawson, Lindy Paramor and Pat Hewett and Rev Elizabeth lit the candle to remind us that Jesus is with us followed by prayers. Rev Elizabeth told us about Balaam who rode on his donkey to the princes of Moab and gave St Francis’s sermon to the birds followed by the song – He’s got the whole world in his hands. We sang All Things Bright and Beautiful and For the Beauty of the Earth while Rev Elizabeth went among the congregation blessing the pets. After the service, we – and quite a few of the animals - went across to the Village Hall for refreshments. A big Thank You to Rev Elizabeth for such a lovely service which we all enjoyed and for playing her guitar for us Thank You also to Lindy Paramor for playing the organ for us.
