The Occupational Health Department - may find it difficult to know how best to help you.
Most nurses with a long term/permanent health problem, means they are unable to perform the more heavy manual work.
So what happens? They are put on light duties.
This is usuallly clerical ie reading, writing and answering the telephone!
This is obviously a problem if you are visually or hearing impaired.
Therefore - you need to have knowledge and facts of the help you know you need. The help has to be pertinent to meet your needs.
