The Shine Community Bus offers a Youth Group for young people aged 14+ from the Gypsy and Traveller community.
Who runs the group? Alison Butterfield, Shine Development Co- ordinator, with a team of volunteers.
What are the aims of the group? The Youth Group offers Music, Art and Fun. Assistance with homework is available if required. Also Information on careers and life skills e.g. money / citizenship.
What happens at the group? Discussions, advice, chat... The content of each week is decided by the group members. Help with homework, job applications etc. Playing music, an art project and encouragement to stay in eductaion.
Where and when Tuesdays 5pm- 6.30pm during school term time at Oaktree Field, Odstock.
