This website is maintained by the Parish Council of Fovant, which is a rural parish with a population of around 650 located in south Wiltshire between Salisbury and Shatesbury. Fovant is particularly well known for its Badges carved into the chalk hills to the south of the village during World War I.

Click on the 'Meetings to Apr 12' text on the left to check on future Parish Council meetings, which are held generally on the first Tuesday of the month in Fovant Village Hall at 7:15pm (generally no meeting is held in the months of August and December); please contact the Parish Clerk for details of the next meeting. The public are invited and a summary of the proceedings will appear on these pages.

The London Olympic Delivery Authority have announced on Monday 7 November 2011 that Fovant will be included on the Olympic Torch route as it passes through Wiltshire on 12 July 2012.

A BBC South broadcast covering this story will be made from the Pembroke Arms in Fovant starting at approximately 11AM on Monday 7 November 2011, all are welcome.
