WILTON COMMUNITY CARNIVAL
Wilton Town, near Salisbury in
Wiltshire is the Ancient Capital of
Wessex and has much local history.
Wilton has also had a Summer Carnival
in the Town for many years.
This year, the COMMUNITY CARNIVAL will
be better than ever and promises to
get everyone involved. There will be a
series of events throughout the week
30th June - 2nd July 2011 with the
Grand Carnival Procession on Saturday
2nd July 2011. This year the Carnival
has a "Animal Kingdom" theme.
The Procession begins at 12.30pm and
travels through the Town to Castle
Meadows where there will be a FREE fun
packed afternoon of entertainments. The
Procession will be led by Mayors of
Wiltshire, and will include The
Hampshire Caledonian Pipe Band, Colton
Dancers, Clowns and several furry
animals..
CARNIVAL WEEK 30th JUNE - 2nd JULY
Carnival Week will also include:
Thursday 30th June a special pub Quiz
night at the Bear.
Friday 2nd July from 7.30pm
SPECIAL Carnival Family Bingo sponsored
and hosted by Edinburgh Woollen Mill at
Wilton Shopping Village. 20% OFF
shopping at EWM. Refreshments. Bingo
Tickets £5.
CARNIVAL DAY
SATURDAY 2nd July 2011
Procession leaves The Hollows at
12.30pm and goes through the town to
Castle Meadows FREE ADMISSION.
The Procession is open to all classes,
from walking to motorised floats.
We already have a large number of
entrants. Theme is "Animal Kingdom".

CASTLE MEADOWS FUN AFTERNOON
1.00pm - 5.00pm FREE.
A host of entertainments and stalls to
offer: Novelty Dog Show, SPIRE FM with
Chris Ewington,The Hampshire Caledonian
Pipe Band, Country Pursuits Birds of
Prey, Ticklish Allsorts Punch & Judy,
Wilton Royal British Legion Band,
Colton Dancers, Belly Dancers, Circus
Workshops and Juggling Show, Face
Painting, Classic Cars, Steam Engine,
CAR BOOT SALE, Craft Stalls, Balloonman
and magic show. Fairground, Kids Rides
and Games, Inflatables, Bar and Food,
BBQ,Charity Stalls and more! Kids
treasure hunt and paper plane
competition.
The Zucchinis fantastic lively covers
Band finish off the day.
There is free parking in the town.
