North's son Roland Arthur Charles North. Roland was born at Beggearnhuish House on 28th January 1889. He joined the Civil Service in 1912 and became Secretary for Chinese Affairs in Hong Kong in 1936.

Roland North's last home in New South Wales, Australia. La Vista, 65 Blaxland Road, Wentworth Falls.
Built in the C19, La Vista is a substantial Blue Mountains property set on more than 2 acres of spectacular gardens created in the 1930's by Master Gardener Paul Sorensen with skillful planting of a wonderful selection of trees & shrubs these now mature specimens complement the hidden fountains, dry stone walls & private sandstone walkways leading onto manicured lawns and lawn tenis court. The garden features a 22 metre wisteria covered walkway underplanted with perfumed daphne.
