February 2004 - In a dry spell the square has had its first cut of the season. Unfortunately the outfield couldn’t be done at the same time because the tractor refused to be woken from its winter slumber!

March 2004 - The tractor has awoken and the outfield has been cut. The square appears to me more moss than grass at the moment but autumn fertiliser and moss killer has been applied. A light scarify in due course should help. Some bare patches in last year’s footholds have been reseeded. Light rolling has started and will build up steadily towards the end of April.
With two teams in the League this year and at least one game at home every week there will be lots to do on the square this season.
