The Friends of Victoria Park is a new community group formed by local residents with the support of Salisbury District Council The aims of the group are: To promote and encourage the conservation and enhancement of the park protecting and preserving its heritage To actively seek the involvement of the relevant departments of Salisbury District Council so that it performs its statutory responsibility to maintain the Park To engage and involve the surrounding community in the use and development of the park and to influence and shape that development on the behalf of the community. To promote and encourage the educational, recreational and sporting value of the park, encouraging interest in its cultural, historical, architectural, landscape and ecological qualities amongst the surrounding community Since the Friends group was formed in May 2007, a constitution has been agreed and a management committee elected.
