How much do you spend on fertilizers and plant food? I'll bet it's 100% more than you have too! These commercially produced products are readily available from your household waste.

Now, to most people, compost heaps conjor up images of black, foul smelling rats nests! Not so my friends,and we have just the man to teach us!

Here in Winterbourne Stoke lives the President of the British Composting Society. This runs in conjuction with The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. Can you believe it, practically Royalty within the composting world and I'll bet you did not know he was here!

Now, this kind conservationist has sought this site out hoping to answer all your compost related questions! Please forward any questions, problems or queries to me and I will pass these on.

Just think, all organic material can be used on a compost heap, that includes paper. Some things need help to decompose, but many powders are available for this. We have already mentioned on this site about our land fill sites and how they only have a finite life, well this could help there aswell.
