Hello! Welcome to the Wiltshire Wildlife Conservation Volunteers program of conservation tasks. Volunteers meet on Saturdays and Sundays, and on Wednesdays during the week, to carry out a wide range of work that helps to maintain and improve conditions for wildlife in Wiltshire. Work includes using traditional tools and skills to enhance the Wiltshire landscape. No previous practical experience is necessary. Just come along and we will provide the help and training you need. Tasks are open to anyone. They provide a great opportunity to develop new skills, make new friends and learn more about management of the countryside.

WEEKDAY TASKS
During the summer months, volunteers may be needed for tasks such as keeping nature trails clear, maintaining seats and steps, or removing fallen branches. Often this work has to be arranged at short notice. Volunteers who are free during the week carry out the work when necessary. If you would like to help, please contact Laurie Lovelace, Roselade, Littleworth, Pewsey, Wiltshire SN9 5LF. Telephone 01672 564399, or mobile 07814 526400.

FOR DATES and other details, see "Winter Programme" on this site

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
HEALTH. Please ensure you have up-to- date tetanus cover.
WHAT TO BRING. We provide tools, strong gloves and training. All you need to bring is a packed lunch and plenty to drink (as most tasks last all day) and plenty of enthusiasm!
FOOTWEAR. We recommend Wellington boots or safety boots (ideally with steel toe caps) for most tasks, and walking boots or safety boots for working on steep downland sites.
TRANSPORT. If you would need a lift, please contact the area co- ordinator who may be able to arrange transport. We can help with your transport costs, but you need to claim for this. You should ask for the printed programme and return the attendance slip with mileage estimates filled in.
AGE RANGE. WWCV tasks are open to all, but those under 18 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.
