I have been researching my family history for over twenty years, my interest first sparked during a wander through my village churchyard. There are a set of large headstones near the church door and although the inscriptions were very worn I could see my surname on several of these stones. I returned the next day and 'rubbed' the stones in an effort to read more of the inscriptions and that was it - family history and the history of the places where my family lived became my hobby. Over the years I have gathered together many records of this village.
