Welcome to the Salisbury and District Trades Union Council Web Site Trades Union Councils bring together unions to work and campaign around issues affecting working people in their local workplaces and communities. Trades Union Councils aim to: raise public awareness of rights at work and the union role in enforcing those rights. promote organising and recruitment drives to build union membership. support union and community campaigns for dignity and respect in the workplace and beyond.

Salisbury District Trades Union Council meets every 2nd Monday of month. The Council gets involved in local issues and have a wide range of unions affillated. A Christmas dinner is organised each year which in the past has had guests from all areas of the trade union movement including the Trade Uion Congress Gen Sec; Brendon Barber and also the Mayor.

Most importantly there is no politcal party involvement, so the Council is completely independant and only answerable to the TUC and local unions. We have a wide range of members young and old from all walks of life and welcome anyone from any aspect of the community/trade union movement to come along or get in touch. The Council have been going for more than 25 years in Salisbury and welcome any interest from local people/trade union brances. Why not come to our Christmas dinner?
