Instructions for Contributors
REDLYNCH PARISH MAGAZINE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS AND ADVERTISERS GENERAL CONDITIONS - The Editor will not accept articles or notices which are political, illegal, libellous or breach copyright
- The Editor, acting on behalf of The PCC's of St Birinus and St Mary's Churches, makes the final decision on policy, formatting, charges and acceptance of articles, notices and adverts.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS Contributions must be:
- Legible, brief, coherent and submitted in order of preference and without amendments.
- Typed exactly as required on a half sheet (A5) sheet of paper and sent to the Editor, Mrs Octon, at Harthill House, Harthill Drove, Redlynch, SP5 2HR. (tel 01725 510417) or by e-mail to apocton@hotmail.com
- Accompanied with the contributor's name and telephone number.
- Contributions and articles are to
be with the Editor by 13th of the month prior to the edition in which they are requested to be published.
CONTRIBUTIONS PUBLISHED FREE OF CHARGE The following contributions are published free of charge:
- Notices and related contributions from local parish or churches.
- Reports and notices of future events from clubs, societies and organisations which benifit the local community and are of interest to it.
- Articles
- Personal "thank you" notices following a bereavement, accidentor operation which are of interest to the community.
- At the Editor's discretion, and on a quid pro quo basis, notices of events from a neighbouring community.
- To limit printing costs free notices are to be limited to half a page. (Exceptionally this constraint may be waived at the Editor's discretion.)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADVERTISORS Charges will be made for:
- Adversementsand notices for
commercial and money making activities, and also for organisations not primarily designed for the local community.
- Personal notices not covered by item (4) above.
- Rate of charges are:
- (a) 60p per line, with minimum charge of £3.00p per month
- (b) £8.00p for a half page.
- (c) £16.00p for a full page.
- All advertisements and notices for which a charge will be made are to be with the Adverising Editor, Mrs S Langlands, The Old Dairy, Black Lane, Lover, SP5 2PH (tel 01725 510062) by the 12th of the month prior to the edition for publishing.
- A condition for publishing advertisements and notices are that they are to be accompanied by cash or cheque made payable to PCC Redlynch.
