The Ministry of Defence Police for Salisbury Plain are responsible for policing the defence estates assets around the Salisbury Plain Military Training Area. This includes policing the garrison towns of Tidworth, Bulford, Larkhill and Warminster.

The MDP is the civilian policing agency for the UK defence estate. One phone call gives you instant access to a nationwide civilian police force. This includes mobile patrols, armed officers, CID, police dogs, PNC, Scenes of Crime Officers and a wealth of experience and advice.

All vehicles have on - and off - road capability and are equipped to respond immediately to all incidents requiring police attention on MOD land. The Area Police Team is committed to providing a service to all members of the defence community.

Any crime, when it happens to you, can be distressing, traumatic or just irritating. To reduce these effects we offer the following advice on how to report the matter.

MDP officers have the same powers as Home Office (local) police officers. Please report any criminal offences which occur on or near MOD property or involve MOD property.
