Whats On

Figheldean Parish includes the villages of Figheldean and Ablington and lies on the southern slopes of Salisbury plain some 10 miles north of Salisbury. The parish stretches from the Old Marlborough Drove Road in the east to Robin Hood's Ball in the west. The highest point is Dunch Hill in the south-east of the parish at 541ft above sea level.

The Figheldean, Ablington and Alton Downs are littered with the evidence of earlier occupation dating back to neolithic times. Today, large parts of the parish fall within the Military Training Area on Salisbury Plain, with large garrisons at nearby Tidworth, Larkhill, Bulford and Netheravon.

The Parish Council looks after village life and protects the interests of those that live within the area.
