The Chairman of the Salisbury District Council has set her theme for the year to be “Faiths”. Her aim is to raise awareness of the community work carried out across the district by different faiths.
Councillor Elizabeth Chettleburgh would like to initiate an ongoing programme that will support the work of faith groups in the district. The initiative will allow faith groups to present their community activities and raise awareness of their work. It will be an opportunity to share ideas and experiences and will bring members of different faiths together with the general aim of improving community activities in urban and rural areas in south Wiltshire.
A preliminary event will be held in the Guildhall to launch this initiative building up to the main event to be held in April.
