October 9th 2008, 2pm, St Francis Hall.
'Ladies Dressed and Undressed' - Ros Liddington. Ros works at Wilton House. With reference to pictures in the collection at the house, she gave a very humorous talk about aspects of costume worn by both men and women in the past. She is invited back for a different talk in 2009.
October 15th 2008, 7.30pm, Godolphin School Library.
Silk, Silk and more Silk... - Val Toombes demonstrated on silk paper and broughtmany samples as well as photographs of costume work for a big New Zealand show. She also brought a range of fibres etc from her business, 'Silk Sacks'.
