Downton Museum

Situated in Downton Library, in the High Street, Downton. It started in 2005 and is operated by a voluntary group, which meet regularly. The objective is to advance public education and enjoyment in history, topography and natural history. To encourage the local population of Downton, to take an interest in its heritage and history.

It as collected various objects and photographs of Downton. Held various exhibitions. The latest subject is a Photogragh Exhibition by P.Noble on the Reconstruction of the Tannery Bridge at Downton. Contact; Chairman, Mrs. B. Carter 01725 511637
