Local Issues

In the main, local issues are dealt with by the Northern Area Committee which meets monthly at Antrobus House in Amesbury and by the local Bourne Valley Parish Councils. As your local district councillor, I can be involved in a wide range of local issues from planning to flooding. I am always willing to take matters up on behalf of local constituents - and it doesn't matter if you didn't vote for me I will still do my best to get an answer to your question.

There is a lot of information about local services on the Salisbury District Council and Wiltshire County Council Websites - see 'My Links' page to access those sites. They are both good places to start if you need answers about local services.

Stonehenge
Of course one of the main local issues facing the Northern part of South Wiltshire is the impact the new Stonehenge Visitor Centre will have on the local community. The planning application is now lodged with the Council and full documentation is available for inspection at the Planning Offices in Wyndham Road in Salisbury. I will be keeping a close eye on the application and I am always interested in the views of local people on important matters such as this. So, please do email your comments to me and I will make sure your views are represented when the matter comes before the Northern Area Committee. If you want to know more about the Stonehenge Planning Application you will find a link to the documents on the 'My Links' page - you can also submit a comment direct to the planning officers from the Council's planning page.
