Our Consultant - Rex Webb

Image 1 for Our Consultant - Rex Webb Rex has extensive experience in reviewing working practices, systems, policies and strategies in both the public and voluntary sector. He has spent the past few years developing partnership working with the public, private and voluntary sector organisations in Wiltshire.

Rex spent thirty-two years working in the public sector in various positions within the Police Service.

Since 1984 he has undertaken supervisory roles managing, reviewing and developing working practices to ensure greater efficiency. During this time he qualified as a senior manager and trainer. He also achieved qualifications as a Health & Safety Assessor and in structured debriefing.

In the later stages of his service he was responsible for developing policies and strategies with local councils, the police and numerous other organisations with the aim of promoting partnership working. This involved managing change within his own and partner organisations.

Rex was also an active member of a multi- agency team introducing Community Planning to the people of South Wiltshire. He is experienced in the processes of “Planning for Real”.

Since 2001 Rex has been working in the voluntary sector. Once again he has been actively involved in developing policies and strategies to improve efficiency. This has seen him working with a team to identify the training needs of the organisation, develop a new training programme and train volunteers. Once again he has gained much experience in managing change within an organisation.

During his working life Rex has also gained considerable experience of organising and running public and private meetings. He has chaired numerous multi- agency meetings dealing with a variety of issues, including problem-solving initiatives. He has been heavily involved in event planning, particularly where safety issues are concerned. These events included a number of Salisbury Festival opening nights and many other Salisbury City Centre public events.
