Chalke Valley Short Mat Bowls

The club has been operating since August 2003 and has settled into a twice weekly playing routine, two evenings each week 7.30pm to 10.15pm (See below). Two new short mats have been installed thanks to a generous grant from Salisbury District Council. Also new sets of woods have been purchased for use by members and visitors. If you feel you might have a talent for bowls please come along and have a go at no cost.

Club membership is £5.00 per person per annum and £2 is payable on the night, which includes tea or coffee and biscuits.

The mats can easily be damaged by the wrong shoes, so you will need some completely flat shoes with no patterns on the bottom or otherwise be prepared to play in stocking feet!

If you require any further information, contact Keith Attenborough on 01722 780313, email kattenborough@onetel.com or Edward Fry on 01722 780093, e-mail edwardfry2@btinternet.com

Throughout the summer there will be sessions most Mondays and Thursdays (changing to Wednesdays week commencing September 12th 2005), and details should be listed in the Broad Chalke Broadsheet each month, on the notice board in the pavilion or from either Keith or Edward (as above).
