The Farrant Singers is the longest- established chamber choir in Salisbury, and consists of about 35 people based in and around our medieval city, conducted by Daniel Cook. We have an ever-widening repertoire, both secular and sacred, and give three or four concerts a year, along with weddings, carol singing, cathedral services and other events.
With the aid of grants we have established The Farrant Youth Orchestra, a group of young graduates from our most prestigious music colleges. Their playing has added a vibrancy and immediacy to our accompanied concerts at least once a year. We also support local composers and incorporate new work into our programmes whenever possible.
