Shrewton WI programme

Regular monthly meetings are held at 7.30pm in the Methodist Hall, High Street, Shrewton. New faces are always welcome!

Wednesday 14th May 2008. BIRTHDAY PARTY and RESOLUTIONS. RECIPES AND RECITALS: an evening of poetry and puds.

Open Meetings are open to all, including gentlemen visitors. The speaker will go on at 7.30pm so visitors may leave before the business. Visitors’ fee…there is none, but we do ask £2 contribution to costs. Normal meetings are open to members and potential members. New faces are always welcome - why not come along? Only the Annual Meeting and Christmas party are members only.

Wednesday 11th June 2008: THE HISTORY OF PUNCH AND JUDY with Alix Booth. OPEN MEETING.

Friday 20th June 08: a visit to the Ginger Piggery at Boyton.

Wednesday 9th July 2008: OPEN MEETING: LIFE IN THE TRENCHES with Steve Williams.

Wednesday 13th August 2008: SUMMER BARBECUE in a member’s garden. Please note this event is at 6pm.

Wednesday 10th September 2008: OPEN MEETING: CLAIRE’S FASCINATORS with Claire Muir.

Wednesday 8th October 2008: THE TRUSSELL TRUST.

Saturday 18th October 2008: JUMBLE SALE, 2pm.

Wednesday 12th November 2008: PEARL BEAD CRAFT with Elaine Davies.

Wednesday 10th December 2008: CHRISTMAS PARTY.

Wednesday 14th January 2009: MEMBERS’ EVENING.

Wednesday 11th February 2009: MINIATURE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS with Tony Scammell.

Wednesday 11th March 2009: STEPH THE CHEF cookery demonstration.

Wednesday 8th April 2009: ANNUAL MEETING plus musical evening with Anne Atkins.

Wednesday 13th May 2009: LOCAL HISTORY with Don Cross, also BIRTHDAY PARTY and RESOLUTIONS.
