Training
All established members of the Association are keen to encourage new members to enjoy their beekeeping. We are always willing to offer advice and help to fellow members. Our formal training programme has finished for the year but you are always welcome to attend any of our Summer meetings where practical help and advice is available.

Several of our members have taken and passed the BBKA Basis practical examination which demonstrates a basic level of competency in handling bees. Currently, 11 members hold the Basic qualification.

Three of our members have decided to progress further along the BBKA examination route. Two members have passed modules 1 and 2. Another has passed modules 1-6; has also passed the intermediate practical bee husbandry exam and has just been appointed as an examiner for the BBKA Basic exam.
