Xmas Party 2018 We felt privileged to be there for such a momentous occasion, you could feel the vibe and emotion around the room. People were so friendly, we had a fantastic time, the jazz was outstanding and the dancers were fabulous . . . . .Thank you again for a wonderful evening!

Cuff Billett's New Europa Jazz Band - Friday 8th September 2017

Thank you so much for the warm welcome on Friday! We really enjoyed the evening and are looking forward to coming again. The music was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and the dancers really made the evening come alive. Rachel.

We both enjoyed the band last night and it was again good to listen to trad jazz being played without lots of amplifiers, loudspeakers, etc - just like it used to be! Tony.

John Maddocks' Jazz Men - Friday 10th February 2017

It was the first time I had heard last night's band but I have to say it was a fabulous evening of jazz and perhaps the most enjoyable of our 4 visits to date. It was good to see the room so full too. We were sitting with our friend who I introduced and is now a regular and my friend and her husband came last night for the first time. They had a great time too and said they would definitely be back. Nick Booth.

I also thought last night was an excellent one. John Maddocks Jazzmen played the best I've ever heard them. Great pity that I was incapacitated from dancing as they played some catchy numbers for jiving! It was also good to see more 'new faces' at the Club too. Tony Barnes.

Glad everyone had a good time, we certainly did. John Maddocks Jazz Men.

Tim Eyles' Gentlemen of Jazz - Friday 13th January 2017

Charming and charismatic crowd pleaser Tim Eyles has been playing jazz since the 1970s (when he was very young!) and has been lead trumpet player and vocalist with bands including Bas Loddon, Graeme Hewitt’s High Society Jazz Band, Tiger Tim’s Ragamuffins, The Real Ale & Thunder Band, Jubilee Jazz, Louisiana Five, The Gentlemen of Jazz, and Jazz in Mind. On this Salisbury Jazz Club evening, Tim and some of his musical friends offered a stomping Dixieland band, in New Orleans style, guaranteed to get us smiling, tapping our feet, up on the dance floor, or watching the dancers' various and clever interpretations of the music. Ken Ames on banjo, John Nuttall on drums and Peter McCurrie on brass bass made up the driving rhythm section, while equally fine players Dave Bowen on reeds and Clive Burton on trombone flanked Tim and his between song jokes such as I swapped my bed for a trampoline and my wife hit the ceiling! to offer us all an exciting band performance of unusual as well as well loved standards including Lucky Ol' Sun, Zing Went The Strings of My Heart, I'm Beginning to See the Light, Trust in Me, Take Me Back to New Orleans, Wicky Wacky Woo, Ain't She Sweet, The Hiawatha Rag, Soldiers in the Park (better known as Listen to the Band), and Of all the Wrongs You've Done to Me, They're Bound to Come Back to You. What an evening! Salisbury U3A group.

The Delta Jazz Band - 9th November 2012

Just a quick line to say what a great session it was. One of the best I have heard for a long time. Thank you for your warm welcome. It was a joy to listen to good music in such a friendly atmosphere. Regards and Best wishes for the future. Alec Jackson - The man from Guernsey
