ABOUT THE SOCIETY

REDLYNCH AND DISTRICT LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY

The Society was founded in 1996 by Pat Middleton to promote interest in local history in Redlynch and its surrounding villages.

We have monthly meetings with speakers on a wide variety of topics. These meetings are held 7.30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at Morgan's Vale and Woodfalls village hall. Our annual Members Evening gives Society members an opportunity to share local research or memories of the area in past times. We also arrange a local visit for our June meeting.

The Society undertakes a variety of local projects. Currently we are recording the gravestones in St Mary’s churchyard, Redlynch. We also hold resources evenings when the Society’s records are made available to the whole community.
