Our fundraising charity tournament
for Naomi House
and Jack's Place took place on
Wednesday 15th June 2011.
Thirty players enjoyed a full
morning's tennis on five courts around the
village, followed by a delicious lunch
in the
Pavilion and an inspiring talk by Pam
Bacon from the charity about its
remarkable work caring
for children and young adults with
life-limiting conditions, including
provision for respite stays,
emergency support, hospice at home,
bereavement and family support.
We're delighted that the event
raised £711 for this remarkable charity,
thanks to
the generosity of all those who took
part and others who kindly gave
donations.
The committee wish to thank Jan and
Ian Fowler, Di and Andrew Jeans and Sue
and George Todd for the kind use of
their courts.
We hope to run another charity
tournament in 2013.
