Birds in aviaries

A picture for Aviary-Birds-Salisbury-Bird-Keepers-Association

Hello and welcome to my site on keeping and breeding birds for aviaries and exhibition. The local society that caters for all bird breeders is; Salisbury & District Bird Keepers Association. We meet on the 4th Thursday of the month at 8pm. For further details of the meetings please telephone the chairman Tony Leat 01725 513249 or the secretary Bryon Shaw 01722 505087. Various functions are arranged during the year climaxing in a big Open Show where a wide variety of aviary birds will be on show.

The 2007 Open Show show will be held at St Michaels Church Hall, Bemerton on Sunday Sunday 25 November. Doors open at 2pm.

I am a local budgerigar breeder specialising in breeding and exhibiting the Clearwing variety of budgerigars. They are the Whitewing Blue and Yellow- wing Green one of the most colourful mutations.

If you would like information on breeding aviary birds, budgerigars, canaries or foreign, please Email me and I will try to answer your question. Should you be thinking of building a garden aviary, then it would help if you came along to one of the meetings and seek advice from the experts. It is a very interesting hobby which will give you many hours of pleasure.
